Ok so I知 back with another newbie question , hoping all the CBR Fam can help me out.I recently purchased my first bike 1999 Honda CBR 600 F4 . Got it on road fresh oil change and filter, lubed and tightened chain. Been riding in for a few weeks runs pretty good for a 22 year old bike. My issue is when I知 traveling at 65-70 in 6 th gear I知 running 6500-7000 rpms. It seems high to me , granted I致e never owned a motorcycle but....
It has stock sprockets on it 45 teeth in rear and 16 teeth on front . Is this normal? And if not what should I be looking for as far as issues??
Thank you for all your help I知 advance , I壇 be lost without this group.
Yes Idodirt I am aware it has 6 gears . That痴 why I知 concerned . I was on 84 the highway at this time when this occurred and I was in 6 th gear going 65-70. So my question is what would cause this besides the sprockets
Yea I知 at a loss. I have new oem sprockets and chain I知 going to put on, the sprockets look worn out and my chain is pretty well shot. Hopefully it helps a bit . Maybe my rpm gauge is off 🤷♂️. Other than that I知 happy with it . Thank you for your help it痴 much appreciated.
