Default New User needing help ASAP!!!!

ok heres the deal im working on my friends 01 cbr929 jus changed the wire harness and a few other body parts. he jus recently change the engine as well but when he rode it the other day the bike shut off on him and wont start. it swings but doesnt start. he left it sit until it got cold and it started back up again then shut off. the temperature isnt overheating its normal running temperature but it shuts down. i changed the wire harness, relays, and fuse box, it does the same thing i let it idle for about 25 minutes and all it did was shut off and wont start until the next morning. could anyone help as to what u think the problem is.

So...
It starts fine cold.
When i gets warm, it stalls.
Then it will just crank and not start until its cold again.
Correct?

Do you hear the fuel pump running when it wont start?
What is your coolant temp sensor resistance when warm?
What is your charging voltage when warm?
Do you have spark and injector pulse when it wont start?
Is the FI light on?

fuel pump runs, temp sensor resistance how do you check that?, charging voltage how do u check that?, havent checked injector pulse or spark had some coil packs i was going to change. f1 light he says is always on also with a red light constantly On on the tach. we change the pulse generator with a used one from the old engine it ran fine for a while and acted up again. someone locally told me that when coil packs are damaged or get to hot they dont work so i got other ones to try.while idling it drops then [icks back up about three times before it shuts off completely as if its something that clicks on at a a certain time that drops the idle.

Just a thought but bad ECM? No real way to test it though without just getting one... It sounds like its temp related which is controlled at the ECM but could be camshaft or crankshaft sensors too. There's too many things the engine relies on for information which makes life hard lol

The fi light and oil light will be on when it shuts off. Are they on before it shuts off?

f1 is always on but when the bike shut off the oil light and the red light next to the nuetral light came on. do u have any idea what the pulse generator does it the only sensor located on the right crankcase cover at the beginning we changed that but we put another old one it it worked for a month or two and the bike started the problem again.

Do you have a manual?
Pull the codes from the FI light. Jump the connector on the harness under the seat on the right side. count the blinks. long flashes are 10s, short flashes are 1s.

Pulse generator is on the right side underneath the cover at the crankcase sprocket that sends the chain up to the cams. Those usually don't go bad, the only time I have seen it is when there is a drop on that side.
