Default New OEM Fairings?

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum, and I'm fishing for some info.

I just laid my 07 CBR1000RR into a patch of gravel, like a jack-***, and now i need to replacesome fairings, clutch cover, brake lever and pedal, bar end, etc. I want OEM products, but i don't want to pay what my dealer is asking. Has anyone recently used a vendor that they would recomend? I just priced some items at cyclepartswarehouse.com, and they seemed to be somewhat cheaper than my dealer's quote. I've never used them, so i could use some recomendations from you guys, before i invest 2K into parts.

Also, anyone want to recomend frame slider kits? I'd like the no-cut design, possibly to include bar ends, and swing-arm spool. (A little too late for frame sliders now, eh?)

Thanks for the help.

Check eBay. Once in a while you can get some really good deals on there. Also check the Classifieds section. Someone is always looking to sell something, you might find what you need right here.

I recently have purchased a mid-fairing for my 929RR and these guys were the cheapest. $263.42 this was including S+H. Shipping was roughly 24.88 not bad considering most companys will charge $75+. http://stores.ebay.com/FASTESTTOYS_W...sxQ3asstQQtZkmIf you don't see your parts call for pricing 714-842-7257 ask for John.

ronayers.com

or shoot me a pm i may have what you need i have a garage full of spares

sliders i prefer and tend to only go with lockhart as i have learned from experience that they WORK unless you wanna spend more money on woodcraft

ebay ones i find shatter on impact as oppose to doing their job (read between the lines.. .they are for looks)

Thanks for the info thus far. Any recomendations on performance add-ons? I'd like the most bang for the buck. My bike is completely stock, performance wise, so i wouldn't mind doing a few mods, with my left-over insurance money. This is my first CBR in a few years, and i've only had this one for a few months, so feel free to help me spend some money.

you can also find OEM parts at hondaparts-direct, I found their prices were about as low as anyone else. They ship from TX.

Similar thing happened to me. I looked around and found this place altusmotorsports.com Most places I checked with didnt have most of the things I wanted and had a 2-3 weeek wait. If you order by thurs they will ship on sat and shipping is free. Good guys too, I talked to one of em on the phone before I ordered my stuff. He checked all the color codes and everything to make sure I got the right colors and parts that I needed.

I checked the prices with all of the vendors you guys listed.
They include: AltusMotorsports.com; CyclePartsWarehouse.com; RonAyers.com; CarolinaCycle.com; as well as my Honda Dealer: Family Powersports.

I listed all of the parts, prices, and vendors in a spreadsheet. I saved my spreadsheet as a jpeg image, but i'm not sure how to attach it to this post. If anyone would like to see it, or if you can explain how to attach an image, i'd be glad to share it.
