The problem,01f4i will not run, cranks but won't start

Fuel pump stays on as long as switch is on!
All new relays,new tilt switch and bypassed for checking..
No injector pulse or spark. The fi light is on when switched on,but when the red button is switched on it goes away.(is that normal) relay voltage is good,pink wire has proper voltage,neutral light is on, it turns over just no start. Oh yeah, the fuel pump stays on! Any ideas?

Hmm, something similar happened to me except the fuel pump thing. Do me a favor, prop the tank and pull the air box cover off. Get some starter fluid down in there and see if that turns the motor over. Check your main ground under the seat. Do you have a power commander or alarm? Normal operation is the pump primes, then shuts off. Someone obviously or may have tampered with it. That could in turn lead to the electrical issue I think you are having with your spark and injectors. Possible ECU. Do the wires coming from the pump that plug by the Fuel pressure regulator look butchered?

 

Tried starter fluid, nothing...wires look ok,tank is not grounded unless bolted down,ran a ground for test purposes. Fi light turns off when red button switched on,is that normal..no codes. Wish someone was here in cola sc that could test the ecu on there bike...

Do you have the HISS immobilizer system in your CBR?
This is most likely the issue. You should have 2 keys with your bike, try the other one if you still have it.
Source: I have a '02 f4i, one of my keys has a dead transponder, when you use it everything seems to be ok, apart from the fi light on. Engine cranks but does not fire.
If you do not have another key it'll be most likely about £150 spend at your local Honda dealership, they will need to get you some new keys, and re-program the system.
