Default Need help identifying part

Can someone tell me what this part is? It’s a 94 f2. None of my other engines have this. Am I able to block it off somehow?

Looks like it could be the evap cannister from a California bike but not really sure.

Odd... EVAP should only be connected to tank.

EGR would be connected to exhaust-ports, but no bikes have them.

Ah. it's the air suction valve, https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/ho...ction-valve-ac

Early form of PAIR that uses intake-pulses to inject extra air into exhaust to further combust unburned hydrocarbons.

Ahh, nearly right... Good spot dannoxyz.
I presume in answer to the OP's second question you could indeed blank off as people have done with the PAIR valves although what advantage would be gained?

No benefits to blocking off other than saving weight. All its actions are external to engine after everything's gone through, so won't affect anything engine does.

It does throw off AFR readings on dyno or wideband-O2 and make mixtures look leaner than actual though. Something to think about if you ever dyno-tune engine. People end up adding too much fuel as result when they really should be leaning it out for more power.
