Thanks for any help
alright peepssome how i've managed to break my only key for my 1998 cbr 900 RR in the ignition and was wondering if some of you peeps can give a helping hand on how to handle the situation with spending the least amount of pennies as possible....... from the looks of it the ignitions is rivoted from underneath and might be a lil challenging removing them if i did it myself>>>>>> i've tried taking the bike to a locksmithbut they can't take out whats left of the key, so im stuck with either paying for a new ignition running about 200 bucks without laboror i can do it myself i ask what is the easiest way?ohalso if there are any online manuels that may behelpful
yea older bikes ran 530 chains, but if city worker wants, he can run 525 with no issues, just some loss in weight.
with a pipe and carbs, you shouldn't have to rejet, but you will notice some popping, etc. but rejetting can only make it run better...maybe the pipe will make the bike run better since you're up so high with thinner air...

Well the guy at "sprocket center" (found this site on another post when I was lookin for the chain and sprocket how to do)that I talked to on the phone said this would be a good set up for me, and the chain and sprockets are good for 17 to 20k of use, maybe its over kill but hellatleast it will last awhile, the tool is like another 45 bucks so all and all I'll get away with about 245 and some change. Did not see a 525 only the 520"s and 530"s in a kit any way [&:] http://www.sprocketcenter.com/p/3149...2f3-91-96.html
sprocket center is where i get all my stuff.
was it brian you talked to? did he recommend the DID chain? he is the mang...
you will still need cut the chain to fit and dremel and press out the excess links/rivets. let me know if you need any help! (seeing that you're in big bear...i'll have to 'write' you through it).
in the summer when the snow/gravel is all gone, me and the rest of my old fart crew will cruise up and you can show us around!
