Default Neatral to First.

Ok, I have been reading other post on how some riders have trouble downshifting, from 6th to 1st but get stuck in 3rd ect. thanks for the info guys on how to correct and not to worry about the noise iminating when the bike is in neutral, but I have one question, is it nornal for the bike to go from neutral to 1st and make a clunk noise??? not all the time but most just in that gear the others are fine, I just recently bought a 2000 cbr 600 and I am ape shiza over it, as is my wife, and kids. I have talked to some guys that had bikes before but I would rather hear it from present CBR riders.

tks please post here or at jaime.ortega@warrencat.com

As far a i know pretty much every bike i have ever seen or heard shifts into first "hard" from neutral..if youre ever driving around in a car or whatever, pay attention to the bikes around you at lghts, you can totally tell when they shift into first.

I've noticed that the tighter the chain the harder the shift from 'N' to 1st.

Last time I was at the track it was real hard to shift, I even missed 3rd a couple of times. Someone suggested that I loosen the chain. Now it shifts real easy.
