Default Is my side stand bent?

I recently bought an F4, and it is nearly perfect.. When I drove it home, I felt that the side stand was bent down a bit... I thought it should be more horizontal when it is up.
here are some pics I just took today... took it for a ride to the gas station.. wow.. love it.

I've found a few on ebay, but I wanted to be sure before I bought one.

Thanks,
Adam

It sure looks like it. I'd replace it.

I wonder how it got bent though? I can't imagine spinning the bike on the kickstand would bend it like that. You can actually see where its bent.

Yea that looks bent.. you should replace it, I'm going to replace mine since it is bent inwards, so everytime I put it down and I have to pull on it so that the bike won't tilt over.

I'm not trying to jack the thread... but can you really spin the bike on the kickstand? I've seen a guy spin a r6 around and then ride away. sorry not trying to jack the thread.

Pacemaker.....lol. that is funny...... disturbing.... but very funny.

but can you really spin the bike on the kickstand?
yes, its pretty easily done. A lot of people don't recommend it, and personally, I didn't use to do it, but I find myself doing quite often now for some reason. I spin it in my garage instead of backing it out. I spin it sometimes when out riding, instead of holding up traffic to back it into a spot. But, I try to back into spots whenever its feasable.

suddenly I'm not at all hungry....

next purchase might be a rear stand.. wish the F4 could do spools easily... been readin up on threads on here... replacing that side stand would be much easier with one... guess that's what friends are for though.

A swingarm rear stand is more than stable enough to do something like that. Just remember to loosen the bolts before putting her up on the stand.

My kickstand was bent when I got my bike. Not because the previous owner looked like pace's pinup (dude, is that your desktop background?). She is a rather trim 5' 2" stripper And that's the problem: she's 5' 2". Whoever lowered the bike for her ghetto modded the kickstand to 'fit' the lowered height. Was easier and cheaper to bend the existing one than do it right I guess
