Default My bike is automatic!

So today I was rolling along doh de doh de doh.... and then all of a sudden this idiot cuts me off from the center lane and slams on his brakes because he wants to turn right and CAN'T miss his turn so I get on the brakes hard and pull in the clutch dont skid or anything but the bike down shifts from 3rd to 1st for me. I was unaware that my bike was a fully automatic... or it's a POS and it's broken haha. Anyone else ever done this or had it happen to them?

Dude it sounds like you hit the brakes so hard that your rear tire came up and may have hit so hard that it downshifted. It has happend to me when I had my R6.

I've got an 06 F4i. I really wasn't even on the rear brake just squeezing hard on the front.

guaranteed you paniced and accidentially downshifted without knowing. No way do you have a "smart" bike on your hands that shifts for you.

Same thing happened again today only from 6th gear. I was coming down a hill and got on the brakes really hard clutch in and clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk. Put me down to first gear no endo just hard emergency braking going about 60 in a 45 downhill and the light in a long intersection turned yellow. I was in the ghetto so I didn't want to risk pushing through it and gettin run over by the idiots that drive here. I KNOW I am not downshifting. /shrug
