My 1000 is falling apart
Well aside from the problem with my plastics being miscolored and my brake lever snapping today. . .I just took it out and when I'm at a stand still with the clutch in, the bike wants to keep going. . .to the point where it's almost kinda tough to stay put without using the brake. This has never happened before. Aside from that, I can't do power wheelies?? I gunned it to about 10k and the front tire didnt even come off the ground. It felt like I was going fast but just yesterday I was doing wheelies all over. What gives? The only thing that was changed was I took the exhaust off to clean something. . .started it up for a couple mins to see how loud it would be without an exhaust and put it right back on. That's when I noticed these problems.[/align]

RE: My 1000 is falling apart
How old is the bike?
And no offense, but with you "doing wheelies all over" doesn't help the matter one bit. Wheelies starve the engine for oil. Doing it often results in thermal breakdown, which is probably what you are going through. Your clutch is most likely gone, and how does a brake lever just snap unless it was abused to begin with. And when you say you took your exhaust to clean something, did you run it with no headers?

I think your engine got used to not having the exhaust on it and now that it is re-assembled it is going through withdrawel symptoms. It is hard to believe, but engines have feelings too.
Sounds like you have a few independent problems, as far as the power issue, maybe you knocked some of the wiring harness loose that controls fuel injectors or plugs during your cleaning rituals.

RE: My 1000 is falling apart
does the bike idle, i lost power but i fowled plugs, but my bike wouldn't idle once it got wamed up... and the clutch might just need adjusted at the lever, when you adjust it use a nickle or guess, but you should have just enough play between the lever and the perce for a nickle to fit in,
