HAHA! Milk crates? I don't know as I'd trust a milk crate with my bike (especially at over 500lbs)

So how do you do that exactly? Jack the bike up, slide a milk crate under the frame and let it down? Isn't it really unstable? Do you get both wheels off the ground? Just wondering.

I've heard of people doing this with dirtbikes, and I've even used treestumps, jackstands, and whatever else I could find....but with a CBR?

I used to do that with my CR60 back in the day, lift up the rear and set it on top of the crate. Even that little 2-stroke 60cc bike had a tendency to crush milk crates... no thanks.

I used heavy duty jack stands with a piece of wood between them that I held up the rear frame of the bike. It was a pain getting it on there by myself, but it worked. But now I've ordered one so next time it will be cake!

It only gets the rear wheel off the ground, and it takes two, one on each side of the swinger, and they double as a work bench. lol

Default GP Moto Stands.

I still like my GP Moto stands. Like I said before I had my 'Cane standing in the garage on them for over a month now. They work great and really stable. IMO

yeaaahhh my buddy just puts carpet under his tires and says hes never had a problem...I looked into buying one of the Harbor Freight stands and the 2 that they had were broken...welding quality was terrible and that didnt make me feel too comfortable...i think i may just buy a really nice one for the rear and then put some carpet underneath the front and just rotate it throughout the winter...

Don't buy a cheap stand... you will regret it when you pull your wheels off to change tires and the stands collapse.

After reading some of these posts. I think I'll be adding some performance mods (reinforcement brackets) once my stand arrives...just in case!
