MIl light goes out for 5 seconds, what does this mean?

MIl light goes out for 5 seconds, what does this mean?
I have a 954 that i cant get to figure out why it cant start. full fresh tank of gas, FP primes, fully charged battery and just cranks but doesnt start. When i turn ignition and prime the FP the MIL(red light) turns off for exactly 5 seconds and comes back on. The bike starts fine but wont fire up.
