Default Making a Steering Stem Socket

hey guys, im in need of a steering stem socket (part no. 07916-3710101) to work on my front end. now honda sells the tool for like 50 bucks or so, but i know people have made them out of cut up sockets. i know you can use a spanner wrench, but i would like to torque it correctly.

for anyone who has done this, what size socket did you use? i have seen a few posts about this but they all seem to be different sizes. i am looking to make one by cutting the socket with a grinder, not by welding tabs to the socket like some have done.

if anyone that has made one could give me some tips i would appreciate it. thanks!
