Lost my only key.. best option?

Haha that's another problem in itself. Most hardware stores and stuff can't cut motorcycle keys, cuz they don't carry long enough blanks.

The honda dealer near my place sells the blanks but doesn't cut keys. You have to buy the blank for around 10 bucks, go to a hardware store and have them cut it. Only problem being that the hardware stores take no responsiblity for the key being correct or working, if they mess it up you need to go back to the dealer and buy another blank out of your own pocket, lame. Just went through all this getting a spare key made. And yeah, no hardware store I've ever seen carries the blank for a honda motorcycle, and I've checked about a dozen or so of them, nor does wally world, etc etc, kind of a pain finding them if your not near a honda dealer.

Funny thing is, the day after I aquired my bike, I went over to ACE Hardware and had a generic spare made. There was an older gentleman there who dug around a little bit, found a blank and cut it; no problem. So I've always been like, "what's the big deal?" But apparently not everybody carries that style of key, lol.
