A friend of mine sold me his 2012 cbr250r, he sold it to me with no key, as the bike was in a reck a few years ago and he misplaced the key in that time. I bought it anyways thinking no big deal, i’ll have a dealership make me a key or buy a new ignition. My question is can a dealership cut me a new key? And where would i find the key code to give them to do so. If i had to go the new ignition route would that even work or is there a security system preventing a thief from just doing that? New to bikes, as this is my first bike and i picked it up cheap cheap and it doesnt need too too much fixing. Any help would be greatly appreciated
