Angry LED tail lights..about as bright as night??

Hey so iv been told a couple of times now how my tail lights are really dim and dont always light up all the way, there LEDs and i didnt install them witch is why they dont work properly... I have a friend who rides an f4i also and his are reallllyyyyy noticable and all the LEDs seem to work alll the time, as i didnt install them im not sure how the wiring is but if i shake the wires i can get all the LEDs to work right, than by the time I stop and look only some are on and there not bright enough to barley be seen unless you were staring at them, a short or bad connect right? wrong I went threw and check all the connections and all seem fine...any one know how these are soposed to be wired and if anyone els has had this problem?? thanks!

do all the leds come on? most of the time leds are wired in a series. could have a short on one led which is draining power from the rest.

Seems to me you might have a contact failure(s) inside the lamp's inner connections -> propably ultrasound-welded together -> busted light...

I have the same problem with my 2002 F4i, when i bought it the tail light was really faint and i had a lot of people telling me it was hard to make out when i was braking or had on directionals. so i orderded a new undertail with lights, i was told that overtime the LED's go bad and sometimes you get a dud.. hoping mine works better when i get the new one goodluck with yours
