leather glove break in period?
I bought a pair of icon merc gloves. The fingers are long enough but they are tight around my fingers. For the most part they are ok but still tight. My right hand pinky is especially tight for some reason though. Is there a break in period like a jacket or are they too small?

Just took a look at them. Looks like a defect. the pinky on the right glove is rotated to the right to far.
I ordered them from a store that is not close to me. I'll probly end up selling them on ebay if i can't get an exchange.
(glove on left is the right glove)

When I've bought new gloves, they also always seem to be to tight on the pinky finger. I guess it's due to the extra wraparound piece sewed on for reinforcement. Some have been so tight my pinky would go to sleep. Eventually the leather would stretch out though. What PlayfulGod says will work. Wet them and wear them until dry or stuff something tightly into the finger to stretch it until dry. A good rain storm also works if you ride out of it and the gloves are dry when you get home.
As for break in, it seems to me that by the time they're really broken in and comfy, they're also worn out and worthless.

I dunno. Would it really help that much? The right pinky is so tight my finger nearly goes numb after wearing it for only a minute. I can also tell that it would be rubbed raw if i wore it too long. The left pinky however has room and fits good.
when i bought my Alpinestars, they seemed to tite, but with all the hassle of returning them , i went on and rode with them , and they slowly stretched out to fit perfectly. now i must admit i wood do it that way again just to get that perfect fit....
Leather will stretch eventually to fit properly. Whenever I get a new holster for my gun, they fit too tight. So I put an old dress sock over the gun and jam it into the holster overnight. Fits perfect by morning
If you can find something bigger than your pinky, a rod or something, it'll work to stretch the glove without the pain of wearing it
