does anyone have any experience with neon or led lights on a street bike

 

Yeah, what exactly are you wanting to do?

 

What do you mean by experience? Hooking up the negative & positive wires? Then yes.

 

ya i guess my question was pretty vaigue.
is the hook up as simple as positive/negative with a fuse somewhere,
can i put in a switch to turn them off in day or will they be on whenever the bike is?
basically are there pitfalls in incorperating more electronics to a stock 87 hurricane.
the plan is to put a couple leds just inside the front fairing to give off a nice glow from inside the vents.
nothing major.what do ya think? any pics of a similar project would help tons.-
i ll take photos of the project and post them when done.

I wouldnt go with single LEDs though, because you want have anything to mount them to. Advance Auto has some "LEDs" in a plastic housing and adhesive on the back for install. You can hook up the negitive to the battery, then the positive to the swithc and then a wire from the switch to the positive and then the ground. Its fairly easy. Just plan everything out before you start. You shouldnt need a fuse for something that isnt running constant.
