Question Kickstand Relay Problem???? HELP!?

so i know that my bike SHOULDN'T start if the kickstand is in the up position but it does anyway. On the other hand I know that it SHOULD start if the kickstand is down an but it wont? My switch is backwards and I dont know how to fix something like that? It just plugs in so I dont get how its in there backwards? I cant plug it in upside down???

Any ideas on how to flip it?

Thanks Guys!

Im not sure if its just the way you worded your question, but it sounds like its working correctly to me. The kickstand switch only stops the bike from starting if its in gear, and the kickstand down. If the bike is Neutral, it will start wether its up or down.

Now, with the kickstand up..( in riding postion), if its not in neutral, you will have to pull in the clutch to start it. With it down, ( as in parked position), it wont start at all unless its in neutral, even with the clutch pulled in.

The whole reason is to keep people from forgetting the kickstand is down and driving off and causing an accident.

if i hold in the clutch while the kickstand is down i cant start it and the guy i bought the bike from "rebuilt" the engine and tranny and now theres no neutral.. but that what I wanted to know. Should I be able to hold in the clutch while the kickstand is down and have it start?

Not if the bike is in gear. The only time you can start a bike with the kickstand down is if its in Neutral.

Why do you not have a Neutral? I don't understand how there can not be a Neutral.

Mine will start in gear, clutch in, with kickstand down...but as soon as you release clutch it kills it if kickstand is down.

This normal operation for the F3. If the bike is not in Neutral and the Side Stand is down, it doesn't make any difference whether or not you squeeze in on the clutch lever or not, the bike is not going to start. To start the bike with it in gear, the side stand must be in the Up postion.

get a new kickstand switch, they arent that expensive. There is no flipping it or anything like that. I would also like to know how your bike does not have neutral, im guessing you misworded that. Im not even sure thats possible lol.

Maybe the neutral switch and/or indicator light is also messed up. Or maybe someone's just in dire need of a bike with a positive neutral finder
