What does it mean to have a bike jetted?

the main fuel jets in the carburators have been replaced by either smaller or larger diameter ones. it's basically fuel tuning, however most people who by a 'Stage I' or whatever don't have a clue as to what they are really doing. contrary to popular believe, a jet kit does not add horsepower.

thanks, so if im having a problem with a little studder around 1500 rpms would that be the problem?

could be. more than likely it's a clogged pilot jet. could be an over fueling problem too. install the stock jets and see if it disappears (so long as no other mods exist).

it has an after market yoshimira pipe. Im not sure when it was added i just bought the bike. so??
