Default Integrated tail light issue....

I have an integrated tail light on my 01 cbr929rr. When I use the brakes the light works fine, when I use the turn signals the light works fine, but the problem is when I have one of the turn signals on and then use the brakes the turn signal doesn't flash anymore just the brake light works. I haven't really had time to take a good look at it but I'm wondering what it could be? Possibly wired incorrect? Thats how the light works? Anyone who could shed some light and let me know if I need to get a new light or if maybe its the wiring would be a great help as I don't get alot of time with the bike, so I don't want to be fixing it when I could be riding.

Thanks

You're shorting your turn signals out with the brake so I would investigate the point where these connect. My guess would be a bad ground wire and I'm guessing your integrated tail light involved some clipping of wires or you missed a connector cover. Check out the blinker relays as well. Worse comes to worse, you're pulling out a multi-meter and checking voltage at the relays and connectors/splices.
