You can check with this site for your local state laws....

In Virginia, I'm not even required to have turn signals. In Ohio... I'll find out.

Im in NC...According to the site:

Passenger Seat: Required if carrying a passenger
Passenger Footrest: Required if carrying a passenger

Its a shame they actually have to put someting like this in writing....BUT, i was at Myrtle Beach, SC last summer and saw a young lady riding down OceanBlvd in a thong sitting on a solo-tail on some morons Gixxer......Geesss!!!

But the good news, is since there is no age restriction, i can leagally put either my 5y-old or even my 2.5y-old daughters on the back on my 1000.....But we do have a carseat-law...wonder if that applies........Im just kidding....[sm=badidea.gif]

I took a moment to browse the AMA site and I found that lane splitting holds the same in NC as it does in CA. Not referenced in Administrative Code or Statutes. I wonder if that means I can share lanes and get away with it on my next visit to Deal's Gap?

All it takes is a savvy cop to articulate what you were doing was reckless but good luck.

great link! and turn signals are required in ohio on motorcycles produced after 1970 (or somewhere around that year.) don't ask me how i know this because i really don't have an answer. it's just one of those odd bits of info that stick with you. don't know if your new integrated lights count but i believe you will be alright. just look at how many of the $50,000 choppers are running around. and none of them have turn signals because "they are too cool to use those things"

c'mon don. its no secret that we are taking over the world. we just do it one sandbox or oilfield at a time. then we give them tons of money only to take them over again. its just a little game where the world is our gameboard.
