I thought the same thing with my ECU too Taz. Now my bike won't start in neutral without holding in the clutch. When I switch the ignition to start the gauge moves and the high beam and neutral symbols come on. However when I shift into neutral the neutral symbol doesn't come on nor will it start without holding the clutch in. Any ideas what the solution may be?

Perfectly OK if the car isn't running. I even jumped my bike off of a tractor once.

When I bought my bike it did not have a battery in it and I had to keep jumping it from cables to get it home and made the same mistake. On my bike the main fuse is right next to the battery .. mine blew and I bet yours did too
