Default Identify this motor

i have recently bought a dirt buggy with a cbr 400 engine i need help identifying what engine it is and what year bike it came from as the one of the cylinders is scratched fairly bad
the engine code is: NC23E-300747

ALSO is there any other model engine that would fit in without modification to engine mounts and wiring?

would a nc29 fit straight in or what would have to be changed?

Looks like a 90-91

and i doubt greatly that the wiring will work for any other motor. As for the motor mounts, i Doubt it but its always possible. Might have to do some slight fab work.

Pics are always nice.

And where do you come up with NC29? That seems to be the frame number. So if you Find another 400 thats on another nc29 frame then it should bolt up without issue. But any 400 before 1990 is on an NC23 frame, so there might be a chance the motor mounts could be different, and the wiring might have also changed.
