Default I feel like she lost something

I just put a K&N air filter on my 00 cbr600 f4. I bought the bike used, It already had a exhaust added, well a short little pipe. After I put the filter in the bike doesnt seem as fast. Theres no poping or backfiring it idles fine. you give it WOT and it seems like it lags in response. What should I check??

Try swapping it back to the paper one, give it a run and see if it's the same, when installing a K&N sometimes (with too much oil) they can restrict air flow

Default Air filter

Funny thing is, the air filter I took out looked like my k&n. Same red with blk wire mesh. Just no type of stamp on it.
