Default How To Remove Front Cowling?

Hello,

My Puig Double Bubble screen "melted" the middle of my dash cover. I received a new dash cover, but was told that they would need to remove the front cowling to remove the gauges and replace the dash cover. Cost...about $150 bucks. I've seen a cool write up on how to replace the gauge cover, but nothing with regards to how to remove the front cowling. Does anyone have any pics or links on how to remove the front cowling, so that I can save some money and replace the cover myself? I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Happy Holidays.

Would help if we knew what kind of bike. Do a search for theservicemanual and you should find it on this site? You'll most likely need to remove the bottom & side fairings first (in that order). Then the air duct covers, followed by the mirrors, and you should be good to get the front off enough to change the gauge.

Sorry...I have a 05 CBR 600 RR. I figured it out. It took a few hours, but it has a new dash now. Thanks for your help.
