Default How to mount mirrors/gauges?

Alright, so to get my bike street legal I need to put mirrors on it. I want to put some mirrors on it correctly so I can actually use them, and so that they pass inspection.

My problem is...I don't have a normal front fairing. I have no windscreen, my bike looks like this : https://cbrforum.com/forum/new-membe...r600f2-132608/ (pictures in thread).

So, my question is...how do I mount mirrors to this kind of front fairing?

My next question is about gauges. I have a speedo/odometer, and a tachometer and all the wiring to hook them up to the bike. However...I have no idea where to mount the gauges themselves. Are there gauge pods made for these so I can make the mounts look somewhat cleanly done? I was thinking I could put them between the headlight cover/fairing and the handlebars.

Thanks for the help, I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future

Do you plan to restore the bike w/a front fairing? If so, by installing the front fairing stay, you'll have the mounting point to reinstall your gauges.

This is what i did to mount mirrors on my cbr with no front fairing. I ordered 2x mirror holder/mounts for a 2009 suzuki dl1000, it clamps on to the front brake and clutch perches and replaces the regular u shaped clamp with one that has a threaded insert for a 10mm mirror. Ive never cared for bar end mirrors myself and this gives you a huge amount of choices being the standard 10mm mirror thread.

Got any pictures of that from farther away so I can see how it looks with the mirrors on and such? Seems like a decent idea...How well does that work for you?

thats how they look from farther away. The setup works great for me puts the mirrors in a good spot and i dont have to move my arm around everytime i want to look in the mirror like bar end mirrors.

as far as gauges go, you can build a bracket from aluminum stock that you can get any hardware store (costs just a few dollars). you have to get creative.

then there are some that mount up from the ignition bolts and they're made out of some nice stainless steel - they cost more though. do some searches.

search with "gauge bracket cbr F2"
