with reference to my previous post;I removed the caliper bolt pin and caliper guide pin,the spacer and the boots,all look in really good condition and not likely to be the problem.I left the caliper in place while twisting it,the piston moved freely and the pads came off the disc.I pumped the brake pedal and the pads moved back on to the disc.Once the brake lever is released,the pads are touching the disc very lightly;I was hoping to spot something really obvious,but I can’t see anything that could be causing the problem.

Pretty sure that is normal. At least, I hope so because my front and back do that as well!

fluid looking ok? if overfilled could expand when hot
also how warm is the disc getting exactly? its normal for them to get a little warm but not super hot

Hey everyone,so,I’ve lubed the floating bolt and pin,and today stripped the caliper down,cleaned it,replaced the seals and bled with new brake fluid.Iv just ridden it a couple of miles,trying to keep off the back brake as much as possible,and it’s still getting warm compared to the front discs,which get used much more,now I’m out of ideas,the disc is not warped,and the system is not overfilled.If this is normal,I just can’t understand why the front discs are cool,and the rear is warm,any thought would be much appreciated,cheers!
How is the brake line? The OE rubber hoses can swell up internally and keep some pressure in the caliper.
Could you pedal be sticking a little and applying the brake or even the master itself?
Finally, and I've seen it before, could you be resting your foot on it when you don't mean to?

Did u recently adjust your chain or move the rear wheel? Make sure its str8 check your rear wheel alignment adjusters. Did u lose the brake retainer clip? Is the brake piston or inside caliper corroded and getting stuck squeezin on the pads to the rotor? Is the rotor loose? Is your rear brake stuck partially on somehow? Is the caliper mounted correctly? Did you wire brush clean and grease the sliders aka the pins the brake pads are guided on when they get squeezed. Grease is good just not on the pad face or rotor .anywere else is fine.
