Oh man, I was checking out my stator gasket cuz there was some oil leaking out of it an i noticed that one of my stator bolts was stripped. Not the bolt itself but the socket it turns into, so I decided to check turn all of the other ones a little tighter to hold the gasket tighter. So then I went to the one on the right of it and tightened a little, really it was less than a millimeter and then it felt like it let go. Right then I said "FFF*********CK!!!!" as I realized that I stripped the next to it as well. Please tell me that this is repairable with a thread kit cuz I cannot afford to take it to Honda or a proper mechanic. I dont like being financially raped. Here are the pics of the bolts. I know the bike is dirty, I was gonna spring clean it this weekend.

 

They can put an insert called a Hellicoil, they may need to go up slightly on the size, although if the old ones are out already maybe it won't be necessary.

I was checking those stuff out but the thing that worries me is that the metal looks kinda thin and all of the thread repair vids I saw drilled quite deep in the hole. Im scared of going to far in and for the bolt to come out the other end, or even worse crack the casing. As you see the bolt does not bolt directly into the body but rather into a small bulge...

 

They use specialized tools to do it, I would not attempt it myself, but I'm retarded. The process is more or less the same as wot they did originally. I know wot your worried about, but unless its fixed, your stuffed. Ring the bike shops (not saying that they should do it) but at least get a quote.
My bike shop actually have a bloke that they T up with & he comes in & does it, ring the distributor to, find out who in your area specializes in the work as well

 

I personally hate Hellicoils. Where i used to work we used Time-Serts. They were solid unlike helicoils. They are very easy as long as you don't mess up the new threads you make for the new insert.
