Both beams day and night all the time... unless i get stuck right behind someone at night i flick the high beam off. Otherwise it's both beams 24/7.
Just wondering is the Highbeam and Regular Beam bulbs the same but aimed differently?
The reflector housing is different between sides so the beam comes out different, the bulbs are the same though.

Yep both bulbs pull same amount of wattage. The high beam's housing is covered more densly with reflectors and it is also aimed higher (which is adjustable) than the low beam.

I have silverstars and run them probably 85% of the time during the day and when ever I normally would at night (I dim them when meeting a car or come up behind someone) I have been flashed by cagers alot this week during the daytime for having my brights on but I just point at them LOL I guess they see me if they are flashing their lights at me so I point at them to tell them that I saw them too LOL I don't point at them like I'm pissed but more of a funny thing that makes the guys that I ride with laugh.
