I messaged the author of the write up, but was wondering if anyone could answer my questions.
1) The write up shows for low beams. They seem really bright, would I even need high beams?
2) Would i need another kit for high beams or just finish wiring in that setup for high beams?
3) I have an 98 F3 with F4i fairings/light. Can I still wire in this setup for my bike?

1) the low beams are really bright but I like having my HID Hi-beam, but the down side is it takes about 30 secs to get to full brightnes.

2) If you picked up the dual H7 35W kit that would do both sides.

3) I assume you are using H7 bulbs right now? If so they will work with no problems.

sorry now that i think about it one side is low beam the other is high beam. *face palm*. I have no idea what bulbs im using. The ones for the f4i lights is all i know. And i guess im confused on how the hi/low works. If i have the same kit for the hi and low beam is the high beam just getting more power making it brighter or?

Same bulb (H7) for both sides. Beam spread and aim is the difference between the high/low reflectors.

very easy dude just look at your bulb and see what it is, most likely an H7, go on the internet and look at H7 HID kits, and u will be able to find any color u want

As mentioned the F4i uses H7 bulbs which if you have F4i headlights then it is most likely what you need.

If you go to www.ddmtuning.com and look for the dual slim ballast 35W H7 kit and pick the colour that you want.

4500K is the brightest, the lower the colour the more Yellow, the higher the more blue and purple. but also the farther away from 4500K the less light output is produced (4500K has about 300% output and 8000K still has more then twice what a halogen produces)

Also 35W HID's actually use less power once lit, they only use more power during start-up while the gases are heating up.

Hey guys sorry im also new to these hid kits and new to my 02 f4i i just bought. I to go with projectors one day but for now its much easier and cheaper to get the ddtuning hid's.
The only question im not sure of before i order and fellow sick97ss install guidlines is that ddtuning has to kits. one is called "DDM HID Kit Slim Basslast (35w or 55w)" and then theres a kit called "DDM 35w & 55w Dual Motorcycle HID Kit (35w or 55w)" and im not sure which ones i need to get? i do want a dual hi beams and the single for low beam(because single low beam in unavoidable) "sick97ss" install shows he bought the "DDM HID Kit Slim Basslast (35w or 55w)" i believe but im just not sure which ones better. both kits are slim ballast, the motorcycle specific one says it comes with a "HID Harness"

The slim kit ands the motorcycle kit are the exact same thing.
I would go with the 35W as the 55W kit is just overkill.
