HID Installation help 2002 954
Okay, no big deal easy question for somebody to answer. Bought the Vision X plug and play xenon kit. Found somewhere to put the ballasts... that was easy enough. I know how to put the the ballasts wiring together.
My only problem is I don't know where the stock headlight connector is that plugs into the ballast! I have pulled both the left and right fairings off looking for this wire. If anyone has a photograph and can circle where the plug is I would be very appreciative! I have the wiring diagram for the bike I can put up here if I need to.

I'll simply review how mine works... yours may be different since the source & brands are different: There should be 2 wires coming from the HID bulb that you installed in the stock place, one wire has a female end whilst the other has a male connection. Then you should complimentary female/males connections coming from the ballast that way you it won't connect incorrectly - easy, peasy.
Then you'l have 2 other wires coming fom the ballast; these wires connect to the OEM plug that originally attached to the H7 halogen bulb. Now, you'll have two scenarios: 1) there's a double male connection that you simply plug together - if you've reversed them it doesn't matter, the lights simply won't come on. Just reverse the connection orientation and you'll have light. 2) Or, there are merely 2 wires with a blade style end; these may work or they may not make a secure connection. If this is the case you'll have to create a permenant solution. Figure out which wire goes to the other to complete the circuit - just twist them or use small wire nuts since it's temarary. Once you have the wires paired up you can butt connect them use a connection that you crimp, or use F/M blade type... neither are may preferred method. I'd solder them then cover with heat shrink.
Good luck.
Cheers

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but are you having problems finding the wires that the stock headlamp bulbs were plugged into? That's where the HID ballast is going to hook into as well.
On my HID kit, there was two wires connecting to the HID ballast itself (red and black meaning positive and negative). On the ends of this cable were flat end tips that are used to simply click into the stock harness. You should have two flat end tips on those wires, one for positive and one for negative. Find the positive marking on the stock headlight harness connector and go from there.
Let me know if that's not what you meant.
