Default Help with vortex front on 06 F4i

This past summer I purchased a front and rear set of vortex stands. Until now I've only used the rear, which I really like, and I'm now having problems with the front. I guess I really don't know how to use the front stand. It's a triple stand so do I just put the pin in the hole and push the handle down? I hope that's not what I'm supposed to do because I'm having problems with that. First let me show you what I like to call Exhibit A:

What is that flying saucer looking thing with the two wire connectors? Can I take that off because it is getting in the way as you can see. I have a feeling that if I keep pushing it will break it off because the pin is pushing against it and it is resting on the bottom pole thing that the pin is actually sticking out of. Next I bring you to exhibit B:

What the heck am I supposed to use this for?! lol I would call the dealership for these questions but they're retards and the guy actually sold me an additional pin because he said I need one. I think he just sold me every accessory that could be used with the vortex stands it was kind of rediculous.

Please help =(

Mike

Dont know anything about your stands, but in pic 1 that looks like your horn. Just go ahead and take out that 10 or 13mm bolt and let it hang out of your way, or unplug and remove it till yer done. As far as the stand ? im not sure. Best of luck

yea mang it's the horn, you gots to move it for all F4is..cause it sits there...just move it and then retighten down out of the way...and forget about it!

about that pin...some bikes need an extra pin to extend the other pin so that it clears the upper from the front stand arm...otherwise it will crack it.

Awesome thanks both of you. =) I'll move the horn and put that extended piece on because it does hit the upper fairing.

Thanks again!

Ok sorry to bump this stupid post up again but is it just me or does the adapter seem like a piece of crap like its really cheap and it's going to break.
There is a small screw that is in the end of the normal pin that goes into the triple and it's the perfect side to fit in its little hole flush. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to go out and buy my own screw or how I'm supposed to attach the extension to the original pin. I tried just unscrewing that screw a little bit so the adapter rests on it but I don't think I can trust that. I guess I just don't want my bike falling over winter especially since my mom parks her vehicle right next to it.
Here are a few pictures to help describe:

First this is a side view as you can see I have unscrewed the screw a little bit so the adapter rests on it to hold it in place and the screw only sticks out of one side which I think is not safe.

Here is another one but at an angle to see the side the screw is sticking out

And this is the other side that is not supported by anything at all the adapter is relying only on the one side that I unscrewed the screw for support.

If you have the clearance put a diffearnt bolt thru there with a nut and tighten down.

drill out the hole and use a bigger bolt or pin.

it's better than not having a front stand...and it's better than having the stupid handy front stands...
the fork stands are fine...it's the front stand that uber sucks
