Default Help me out

Hey guys... my 94 F2 is acting up again. My start up is slower then usual and i have a lot of vibration partially from the gas tank meeting the frame but some more i dont know where it is coming from, mostly just in first, but I was wondering if you could give me any pointers on how to fix slow start up... does SUPER Gasoline help a lot, and does anyone else have a problem with vibrations and the noise it makes. Thanks for any help guys.

Actually higher octane gas will make a slow start problem even worse. Remember "super" and "premium" are nothing more than marketing tactics to make more $$ for the oil companies. In reality, higher octane gasolines simply have a higher resistance to burn, aka resisit detonation. If your engine was designed for low octane gas, that's what will work best in it. Use whatever gas the manual recommends... I use 87 in mine with no probs whatsoever. Sounds like your bike has other problems, maybe dirty carbs or something along those lines

Might try a product called Sea Foam in the gas before tearing e/thing apart. It will make the bike smoke a bit (from the exaust) but its really good at cleaning varnish and the like up. Have used it for years in all sorts of engines w/no neg effects. Should be able to find it at most auto part stores.
