help with frame sliders!!!!!!!!!!!!
I beg to differ. I've got bolt-ons for my F4i and they stick out far enough...LOL...sometimes I bang my knee on them when I move the bike. So if the bike does tip, I think it will be fine. As for a brand it's up to you. My man has the RR and he ended up cutting his fairings....
yeah i'd have to agree with Don , i'd only frame mount em cos i have friends
with bolt ons and u have to be carefull what there going to damage when / if
they bend in during a spill , they found out the hard way.

pitsvtec, I wasn't saying they don't stick out enough. It's just when you start adding more bends and weaker than frame brackets... you lose the protection you bought the sliders for. I didn't want to cut my fairing at first either... then I got over it. The two times I dropped my bike on it's left side, the faring would have taken damage if not for the sliders and maybe the no-cut sliders will protect some in this case, but in a rear crash at 60 and above, I'd rather have the solid frame mount sliders.
I agree with Don & Chaos, it is a pain to mount them to the frame drilling holes and all, for this reason alone I have STILL neglected to put some on . . . . . not for long though with my new paint job
How long are your frame sliders? Is 3" standard? Recommendations would be great!

I have the no drill type on my f41 and i have dropped it twice (dummy) and they have protected the bike in those instances.
Now a high speed get off might be a different story.
Better than nothing is my philosophy.

if you are dropping your bike frequently, better get the real ones.

It's not as bad as you think to cut the fairings. Here, this might help..... http://www.rc51.org/slider.htm
Wow, thanks for the info! I was wondering how I was goign to make this easy, I can't beleave I never thought of using play-dough. Now I can put the sliders on before I paint the bike.
