Default Help with chain length

So I bought a new chain and some sprockets, come to realize my rear sprocket is 38t and I bought a 36t sprocket. My bike calls for 108 links in chain length. I'm just wondering if the sprocket size difference will effect the length of my chain. I've looked all over Google and can't find a legitimate answer. Thanks in advance

Hi, which year & model bike?

These calculators work well, you just have to measure distance between sprockets.

Easiest is to just install and see if you've got enough adjustment-range on swingarm to tighten chain with smaller sprocket. If you run out of room, just remove links from chain before pinning master-link.
