Default Help! --- Adjustable Shift Lever???

Hey guys,

I have a 98 CBR900RR and the shift lever is too low for me given the relative height of the foot peg and it is kind of a PIA to upshift (down shift is okay).

I was wondering if anyone makes an adjustable height shift lever to replace the factory one to raise it, or if I can somehow raise the factory one?

I did some research and it looks like I can get an aftermarket rear set that would accomplish this, but the one from Gilles is around $450... which is out of my budget.

Thanks in advance!

Isn't the shift lever attached to a splined shaft? I would think you could remove the lever and rotate it to another position on the shaft and thus raise its position.

+1 you can adjust it this way.Just loosen the bolt that holds the shift lever and adjust to you liking.

Thanks guys, I was able to adjust it last night and it's a dream now! I can't believe how much range there is from the factory!
