first it would probably be best to drop the motor to work on it

second your gonna have to split the case and take a look at the crank bearings
and the crank shaft

pics would be nice

^ that would be the easiest and probably the quickest way of doing it. Otherwise, unless your confident in your ability to disassemble and reassemble the motor correctly.

otherwise swap the motor, or take it to a shop.

either way if your getting started first step would be to drop the motor.

do I have to remove flywheel to crack the case because I took it to the shop and I could not remove the flywheel or does anyone know of an alternative way of removing the flywheel.

finally got to the root of my problem..smoked a connecting rod bearing in my no.2 cylinder..almost no damage to the rest of the motor but there is a small bit of scorring on the connecting rod from the bearing spinning freely ill post pics but if its minor can some fine sanding be acceptable if done correctly to "buff"it back to operational status??or should i just look into getting a new connecting rod?

replace it, and buy all new gaskets too. you don't want to go cheap with it or expect to do the work again. the crank could be bad also if the bearing was bad.
