and look for the glittery gold in the oil

If there's gold? Metal on metal....cam damage? Do they also call it a blown motor?

just wiped bearings
but may be rebuildable depending on how bad the journal bearings are and I'm betting that after he noticed the loss of power and the noise

he still road it home instead of parking and towing it home

definately check the oil for any particles as suggested.

Was there any odd knocking sounds after the wheelie?

Also, just to clarify, the bike was still running bad after the wheelie correct? It wasn't just during the wheelie that it ran bad? The only reason I ask is because if it was only during the wheelie that you had the issue, you could have just run out of gas. Carbed motors can only run at that incline for so long before they run out of gas. with the main jet being in the middle of the float bowl and the float still holding the needle closed, the gas level can drop below the main jet and starve the motor for fuel.

It sounds like you have more issues than this, but I just wanted to clarify that as I've seen others think something was wrong with their engine due to this condition.

when it happened I was just a block away from home so the distance traveled after noticing problem was very short

yes there was a knocking sound and after the wheelie it continued along with horrible low end power.

so i dropped the oil pan and there was metal in the bottom...not a whole lot but noticeable so where do i go from here what do i look for to notice which/what bearings are shot?also where is a good place to shop for rebuild kit if there even is one?or where is a good place to order necessary parts?and should i drop the motor to continue?and does anyone know of a way to either fabricate a tool or a way of gettin the bottom engine mount off without the honda tool?
