Default help !!!

HELP PLEASE !!! My name is Bryan I have a 1998 cbr 900RR with no spark. Its not a us model so the wiring is slightlydiff.Someone cut the ign switch wires to get a key made after they lost the key, and when they put the switch back in they just twisted the wires together and elec taped them. With out knowing I rode the bike for about six months till the wires finally crossed and the bike shut off.Figuring it burnt the CDI box, I bought one from the dealer, put it in and still no spark,so i borrowed a cdi from a shop that had a harness and cdi(but didnt have the application from where it came from and would'nt sell it)put it on my bike and it had spark. Thinking the CDI was defective I got another one and same thing. So I compared the wiring diag's from the us to the Europeon model witch had an additional wire at the ign switch, that was pink going straight to the CDI Box. The us diag showed a pink wire from the CDI tied to green wire witch apeared to be a ground, so out of desperation I spliced the pink and green together and still no spark. Later I took the ign switch apart to find a diode .Not in the diag! Burned out.Idont know if it was already burnt or if I did it by crossing wires. I went to radio shack and bought one that looked just like it and put it in ,still no spark. I cant find the ign switch anywhere and dealer cant get it.And since I spliced wires I might have burnt up the new CDI. Been trying to fix my bike about a year and not giving up, so unless anyone has a better idea the next step is I was going to buy a Dyna 2000 after market ign sys. Witch is fine with me if it gets my bike running and my accessories work, but will it work with my Europeon (or whatever it is) wiring?
