Just purchased a 02 f4i that just sat in the mechanics garage for 3 yrs,After i cleaned the gas tank it startedandilet it run for about 15 mins, killed it and cranked it again ran for about 5 mins then died. Thought it was outa gas put some more in tried to crank but it wouldn't start. Gas started pouring out of the exhaust.So i read some forums and i changed the oil, plugs , checked the lines everything seemed fine but i'm not a mechanic. Well i'v figured out i can get it started when i unplug the fuel pump and just throttle the gas but when i leave the fuel pump plugged up it floods the pistons and pours out the exhaust and i can't even turn it over. So i got it norrowed down to that,now what hopefully its something simple.

 

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is. Is it a sensor? Or is it because the injectors are staying open?
