Default headlight question

Alright, i've got my 91 F2 that i took the stock bulb put and replaced with a brighter one. My question now is, when I idle, the light dims, headlight and turnsignals dim. When I throttle it even just a hair, the lights return to bright. Is the bulb just pulling too much juice? Or, could there be another problem?

I am wanting to install the HID kit. Does it pull more juice than a standard H4 bulb? Or, less? Thanks in advance for any info.

What do you have your idle set at (rpms) A lot of times your idle can be 100-200 rpms to slow. the dimming of headlights are a good indication of this. This could also mean that your battery is old and getting worn down, the battery usually doesn't charge when idling, it requires around 1400 rpms + in order to charge the battery, so if you left your bike idling long enough it will eventually drain your battery.

I could be riding for an hour straight, and, as soon as i stop and idle, the lights dim. The battery may be the problem though. i've had the bike for about a year, and, put 4k miles on it. I don't know when the battery was replaced. I'll have to look into that further. As far as the idle goes, i'm not sure where it is set. I shall also look into that. Thanks
