Question Headlight conversion

Is it possible on a 600rr to convert your headlights from one on to both on (as running lights) and then have both run high - low beams together?

Not without changing the reflectors somehow. there is only a low beam and high beam reflector, they are not dual reflectors.

You could drop in a set of HID bi-xenon projectors though. They have recently become much cheaper and they are sold in kits to mount to your H7 reflector bases. They do require some work though. You will have to seperate your lens from the buckets and insert the projectors. the other downside is the lens on your bike are so small, a portion of the projector will be cut off. They still shine a significant more amount of light than stock though.

I actually put set in from a cadillac XLR. It was a PINA. But now they offer kits that are simple and straight forward that don't require the modifications that I had to do.

Also, do some searching on here. Theres a few write ups in the "how to" section as well.

There are mods to make the stock headlights both be on during low beam, where a resistor is added to the high beam side to shine at about 40% capacity. Then, when you flip it to high beam both lights are still on but it bypasses the 40% resistor.

The addition of the resister during low beam is to compensate for the different reflector shapes of the left and right lights. I've seen pics of the results and it looks close but you can still tell there's a difference.
