Head gasket fitment - '90 CBR 1000f
I'm in the middle of my first engine overhaul and it seems I may have made a mistake when choosing a replacement head gasket. The manual indicates that the cylinder bore is 77mm but the gasket I ordered lists a bore size of 79mm. In hopes that someone experienced in these matters could weigh in as to whether or not to move forward with what's here, I've attached these pictures of the gasket resting on the cylinder block. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently manufactured by Cosmetic and purchased from oemcycles on ebay. the thing is it's just about a spot on match to the one that came off during teardown. i simply know nothing about what should or shouldn't be having never done this before. i clearly wasn't thinking when i started in on this overhaul,

Did you say it's the same as the one that came out? If so, you should be fine. I checked my rebuild video and it looks like mine was also back a bit from the cylinder wall, but I don't have a close enough angle to confirm. It's a good idea to hold them up against each other and make sure all the passages line up
Kinda weird though. Maybe worth going back to the vendor's site and checking if they have other bores listed. 2mm overbore doesn't sound right ie Honda sells rings and pistons for 0.25 and 0.50mm
