Default Had an Idea!

Ok, this is gunna sound kind of stupid but I thought it would be cool though. My friends and I are into the import seen and I had this idea this weekend of trying to do a HID conversion on a bike. Does anyone with this type of knowledge know if that is possible. just curious, I know I can buy the bulb to simulate this effect, but hey just thought this could be a challenge.

Yup, all my friends took headlights off one of the BMW car models and it worked great. Worked on Honda CBR900,CBR929, Aprilia Mille-R and Ducati 996. I'll ask them which BMW and what they did to make the switch.

There are kits marketed at bikes for HID conversions..for the life of me I can't remember the company names or sources, but a search on google for motorcycle HID kits should reveal a whole pleathera of suppliers.

I'm looking into installing an HID conversion on my F2 as well. And, while searching, have come across the two best looking kits.
Here is one, but, i don't believe it includes an igniter
xenon depot

And, this is the one i am leaning more toward. It says it is a complete kit
Sol Headlamps

Hope those links helped. But, has anyone on this site done an HID conversion? Any input would be greatly appreciated

I've been toying with the idea myself....I'll lose my highbeam, but i think the tradeoff will probably be worth it. And with the light output of the HID system I dont think id miss it much if at all. http://www.xenondepot.com/pghcbr600.php If i didnt know better id say that was my bike. I think itd be worth a shot for $200 or so. I ride alot at night and in bad weather and seeing is always nice. And reading the FAQ section of xenondepots website it sounds like it comes with ALL components needed for an install. Id still probably give em a call and verify.

You must not ride alot at night...and if you do you must ride in cities. I live a bit out in the country. I saw a deer the other day on the side of the road. If $200 will let me see better at night...SOLD. It gets damn dark out here at night, especially with no moon.

Alright, may be a stupid question, but, do th F2's have an H4 bulb? I can't remember. I'm going to be ordering the HID kit some time today, and, i just want to be 100% sure i get the right kit for me. Thanks in advance.
