So I'm looking at replacing my headlight bulb, and I've got a couple questions. I need an H4, that I know, but all of them I've seen for bikes are 55/110W. Can I put an automotive H4 in? If so, does it need to be a 55/110W, or can I use a 90/100W or 100/140W? If I use the higher wattage, will it be brighter or dimmer than a 55/110W? Thanks guys.

 

it will be brighter but your also rsking melting your wiring harness. Try sticking with te 55w bulbs, you can still find them in the hyperwhite lights but they are alittle more expensive.

 

Or try a siverstar bulb.

 

.....or get an HID system. They start at about $110 bucks for a pair. Well worth it. (it's my spiritual duty to convert everyone to HID )
