Question Go Pro Questions...

Ok so I bought a Go Pro yesterday and went for a test drive. I know there are a lot of settings on it so I'm trying to find out how to tweak it to my likings. First off, how can you make it automatically rotate from horizontal to vertical. In other words if the camera is in the vertical position, it records like that so you have to look at it sideways on the computer or tv. Do you have to have a program to edit it back rightside up?? Second question is the view looks rounded on the computer and TV. Ive seen other videos that dont look rounded on the internet so which setting is that?? Any help would be appreciated.

To answer the first question, the rotation is all how you are mounting the camera. Unfortunately since the GoPro only has UP, and UPd, so you can switch it to automatically correct the video if upside down (you have to change the setting every time you switch though). To rotate it by 90* just go into your editing program and find the option to do it, there are some free programs online that will allow you to do that.

The second question, you just need to change it to a different filming mode. If you want no distortion go with the 90* FOV. The manual will have instruction on it on how to do that.

Good luck!

If you're on a Mac, if you don't already have it iMovie is the simplest. If you're on a PC there are a lot more options, if you're looking to spend money that is...there aren't too many good cheap programs for PC. Sony Vegas is pretty good though, but can be fairly expensive.
