Default Gel batterys?

Hey everyone. My bike is about due for a new battery, and I've heard some talk about Gel batterys. I heard they have a longer life span, dont overheat etc.
If anybody has any experiance with these batterys and prefer them over conventional wet batterys.
Thanks everyone, have a Happy Holiday and ride safe!!

Not sure, but willing to bet that your bike came with a gel battery. My original lasted for 8 years & only got a new one when my reg clapped out.
Its not so much gel V's ordinary battery, but which brand are you going to get as well.
Gel or maintenance free as their called, are just that, no need to check the levels or worry about over filling them, just a good charge every month or so (if your not riding a lot).
