nice score, as long as the kit comes with various sized jets, adjustable needles, and the new springs then it should work.

Another part of installing the jet kit is drilling the slide vacuum holes. You can verify this step by looking at the manufacturers documentation on their web sites. The drill bit they provide is a specific size for the slides. The main jet needle is installed in the center hole of the slide. There are 2 holes on each side of it. Those holes control the amount of vacuum that gets into the upper section of the slides, as well as the rate in which it's applied. Drilling the slides is a point of no return. Once you drill them there is no going back, you can't un-drill them. The holes control when the slide opens during different amounts of acceleration and engine load. It also controls the rate in which is raises and lowers. I suspect that many self installers don't follow through with this step and they don't the results that are shown on the dyno charts from the jet kit manufacturers.

If you're going to take it to a shop to have them do the installation, make sure it's a shop that has a dyno. If they don't have a dyno, how do you know if the AF mixture is right ? Request a run on the dyno before they start, that way you'll really know if there has been an improvement in performance and by how much.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thumbs up Dyno it

Mate,
If you are going new exhaust and filter for the best results take it to a Dyno bay and have it jetted by them.
They can check the jetting throughout the rev band, gearing and load so it will be as close to perfect as possible.

Thats my experience anyway and its a fun day to watch your ride get more power smoother
