Default front wheel screw

sorry i dont have a manual,....Can anyone tell me what the flat head screw located by the front wheel does? Its some sort of adjustment for something??? can any explain what it is?

Can you tell im new at this....its an 05 600rr. Im not able to take a picture but its by between the caliper. Its a red flat head screw and by it there are two letters, an H and an S.

Its the screw for adjusting the compression/rebound rate of your forks. There should be one at the top and bottom of each fork. The letters stand for "Hard" and "Soft". If it rides good as it is, I wouldn't mess with it.
